Blaeu's famous map of Britain under the Anglo-Saxon Heptarchy, decorated with scenes down both sides: on the left are portraits of the seven Anglo-Saxon kings in regal splendour with arms and shields in each of their kingdoms; on the right are their successors being converted to Christianity. A classic decorative map, with fine hand colour. KOEMAN: Bl 60.
